to get my PS3 controller to work with my Mac is to install the
PS3 USB driver and i am good to go. i have yet to try with other games but it does works with LEGO Indiana Jones. ain't it cool? ;)

notice the 'button 15' at the bottom right? that's a sign that the PS3 controller is working with the game :)
the game control option screen. you can customize your buttons. the only thing is, you do need to figure out what button numbers represent.
