sorry guys, looks like the reviews that i have promised earlier will not be happening. too caught up with the troubles in life. too many things with too little time. the strange thing is, i managed to find time to assemble my new LEGO acquisition: General Grievous and about a month ago, i just got another digital camera, Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ28 to toy with. i know nuts about photography, and therefore, i am not qualify to review this item, even if i do - i don't think time is on my side to give any details. i am still in the mist of exploring the features of this camera and with that, i took some photos of the completed LEGO General Grievous. check out the photos HERE!

an unfortunate series of events

it has been a while since i last posted - think it's around 3 months since i last updated anything here. all the while i have been creating posts, albeit intermediately, there were a series of unfortunate events occurring around my family and myself. it is hard to imagine so many things could have occurred over the past 3 years, and the most devastating one was just a week-plus ago.

i guess regardless of your believes, there will always be one common religion - that's 'luck'. without lady luck, many things will certainly go very wrong. what i am trying to say was, we have no luck. perhaps, no luck was an understatement. bad luck would be a more appropriate way of putting it. anyway, i will try to put the past behind and embrace the future. the key word here is 'try'. although, it's often easier said then done.

over the last one year, i have made some acquisitions which i would love to share with all but due the aforementioned series of unfortunate events and work commitment, i did not do so. perhaps at this moment, my New Year Resolution should be to be more discipline and to write some reviews on the items that i have procured over the past few months - all tech-related, of course. the other key would be 'discipline'.

until then. live life to the fullest!

new read: how starbucks saved my life

finally, i found time to catch up with books. the title of this book by Michael Gate Gill caught my eye last week while i was 'hunting' for a good read - you know, after some unfortunate setbacks at work, i really need to immerse myself in another dimensions, to get away from things through books & movies (since there's isn't anything from lego that fancy me at this moment). read about my take on this book in my 'books' section. and before you hit that page, here's a little something from my heart...

BRENT WALLER's custom LEGO batmobile 'tumbler' - completed!

finally, the most important package arrived on the 16th. jump straight into assembly of the tumbler but doh! some parts are missing. check through BRENT's list and realised the summary parts list has got some discrepancies. its ok. on the 17th went straight to SIMPLY TOYS @ Suntec City Mall and grabbed the missing parts. lucky for me, what i needed is all there *phew* all for a tiny sum of SGD5.90.

ordered 90% of the parts required via BRICKLINK STORES. have to order separately thru' 3 stores: precious princess palace, toy brick brigade and missing bricks. came home, and cleaned out the dining table and the BRENT WALLER's custom LEGO batmobile 'tumbler' is ready in 1 hours and 10 mins. BRENT's instruction was very clear and detailed. beginner builder will appreciate the details and clear diagrams illustrating the sequence. just like the actual LEGO instruction manual! amazing. BRENT, you really did a good job. Hope you will come up with the instruction for the Batpod as well.

finally got my lazy ass to update something. first, its the bad news. i probably won't be the reviewing the aforementioned products. they are really used now. and now for the good news, i will be reviewing a custom built lego batmobile tumbler. i have ordered the parts and if things went on well, i should start building by end of this week. so hang on and do check back! cheers!
